Our Wedding Day

Just as every girl says about her wedding day… THE. MOST. PERFECT. DAY. EVER.

My husband, Luke, and I got married on New Years Eve. If you know me, you know I am all about glam and glitter, this was the wedding day of my dreams!!! We got married at Luke’s Grandfather’s wedding venue, where he also proposed. This is a very special venue as my sister also got married here years ago.

Luke proposed in July 2021, and the night he proposed we were throwing dates around, he came up with NYE. We checked the calendar and it just so happened NYE was going to be on a Saturday night that very next year! We decided immediately that was meant to be our date.

I knew immediately that I wanted to go with the traditional black and gold. New Year’s theme.

Our Vendor Team was incredibly amazing and every piece was pulled together just as I had hoped for!

The party of a lifetime!!! I wish we could relive this day over and over. My bridesmaids and I had feather cuffed robes for getting ready. For my wedding gown, I went with a cathedral length train and sparkles with full glam, which was perfect for the occasion. My bridesmaids were in black velvet which was a classic and extremely flattering look! Luke did a velvet tux jacket and it looked perfect with the bridesmaids dresses.

Thinking about what to gift our parents was so much fun! For my mom, I reached out to an old friend of hers who specializes in oil paintings, and just so happens my mom LOVES oil paintings. I had him paint a canvas of her an I on my wedding day. All I did was send him photos of our dresses and he made the magic come to life.

For my dad, I got him a bowtie with a photo of us together from when I was a little girl. This was a tear jerker. I found it on Etsy and it was adorable.

For my mother-in-law, we got her a β€œMother of Pearl” bracelet and a jewelry dish with a handwritten letter from Luke put into the dish. It was perfect!

The best part was marrying my best friend!!! We are so blessed to have been able to share this day with our family and friends who we love so much!

I will be sure to continue to share things for brides to be! With a winter wedding, I had a little bit of a tougher time finding bridal shower outfits. I will have posts to come of all the bridal essentials!
