The Ultimate London & Edinburgh Itinerary

London, England has always been a DREAM!!! The royal family, the palaces, the shopping, & the food!!!! I was never very familiar with Edinburgh, Scotland…. BUT it is the most magical, little Harry Potter village!! I am hooked and will definitely be going back to both cities very soon!! Below are all the details about our amazing trip!

LONDON ITINERARY

Above is the itinerary I made for our trip!! I went back and edited things as I saw fit after taking the trip. We had to switch a few things around once we got there and learned a little more about the city! I grouped the days by neighborhoods so each day everything was pretty close to one another! London is a huge city and honestly even though we saw so much, I know there is still so much we didn’t get to see that we will hit on our next trip back!

CUTEST HOTEL EVER

We stayed at Ruben’s at the Palace which on the same street as the Buckingham Palace. It could not have been more perfect. We were in the heart of the city and had an easy walk/taxi/tube ride anywhere we wanted to go!

All restaurants we ate at were AMAZING!! Big Mamma is a huge resturant group in the UK and I believe you cannot go wrong with any of their restaurants! Follow them on Instagram @bigmamma.uk and you can see all of their beautiful places!

Afternoon tea was probably one of my favorite things! We had tea at Sketch and the Kensington Hotel and they were both so cute! Note to self, go hungry!!!

I highly recommend the Hop On Hop Off bus tours! This is perfect if your a London first timer like we were! You have the best of both worlds with being able to sight see and being able to get on and off anywhere in the city!

After our time in London, we got a taxi to Kings Cross Station and took a train to Edinburgh, Scotland!

EDINBURGH ITINERARY

Edinburgh was just beautiful!! Absolutely breathtaking and a lot slower pace than London. People have asked me which city I like better, and I honestly cannot even compare them because they are just so different and amazing in their own way!

In Edinburgh we had way more time to look around, shop, and take everything in! The Castle Tour is a MUST!!! It was so much fun, we even had afternoon tea there!

You have to get a cashmere sweater or anything Harris Tweed! Whatever you do, eat at Cervino’s for lunch, we ate there twice..

Make the walk to Upland’s Roast for hot chocolate, you will NOT be disappointed!

We were lucky enough to see some Christmas decor! They had just started putting things up and I definitely want to go back in December one day to see it completely transformed into a winter wonderland. The UK goes ALL OUT for Christmas!! We ate dinner at The Dome one night and it was in full Christmas Spirit!

SO much fun!! I cannot wait to go back!

Screenshot my itineraries above for your next trip and if you go, be sure to let me know if you use any of my recommendations! I’d love to hear from you and about your trip!

Can’t wait to share more with y’all soon!
